“Knowing the vulnerability it takes to come into therapy for the first time, I strive to be a safe space through trust and connection walking through those uncomfortable moments with you. I believe the first step in making meaningful change is acknowledging that discomfort and fear may accompany it. While emotions are never bad, when feelings start to impact your day to day lives in a negative way, I offer the support to recognize areas of growth and strategies to push yourself even after you leave the office. Because your personal experience is unlike anyone else’s, utilizing aspects of both CBT and DBT modalities, my client-centered approach provides a non-judgmental space to explore your strengths and values while challenging unhealthy thought patterns that have become a part of your individual identity.
My experience has been in the PHP/IOP level of care working with adolescents in the School Anxiety/School Refusal program who have encountered a variety of challenges such as social anxiety, family conflict, disordered eating, self-injurious behavior, substance use, and mood dysregulation. Supporting clients and their families as they navigate overwhelming seasons of life, I believe every individual has it in themselves to accomplish even the greatest hurdles that are holding them back from their true potential. I will continue to keep that potential in sight until you’re able to see it for yourself as well!”
